Announcement | The Wedding of Archduke Imre and Archduchess Kathleen | Washington DC Royal Wedding

Congratulations are in order for this incredible couple.

His Imperial and Royal Highness Archduke Imre Emanuel Simeon Jean Carl Marcus d'Aviano of Austria, son of Archduke Carl Christian of Austria and Princess Marie-Astrid of Luxembourg,

and

Her Imperial and Royal Highness Archduchess Kathleen Elizabeth of Austria, daughter of Robert and Margaret Walker,

were married on September 8th at St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Washington DC.  The wedding ceremony was followed by a traditional Latin Solemn High Nuptial Mass celebrated by Monsignor Charles Pope.

As the couple's official photographer for the royal wedding and events, I have not yet released any pictures.  I will release a "sneak peek" image here soon, with more to follow in the near future.

Jean-Claude Ernst of LUXPRESS EuropeanPressPhotoAgency has a gallery of images published here.

For now, I will provide a previously unpublished image from our engagement portrait session in April at the Capitol Building in Washington DC.

  1. What was the wedding and reception like? I guess they will now live in Austria where the groom is from?
I wonder if we will see the couple in the near future performing events...

  2. The Habsburgs do not live in Austria. Imre was born in Switzerland, and grew up in Switzerland and Belgium.

Craig, your photos will be superb. Mine are all right.
