On Saturday, I shot an incredible wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia.  The Catholic wedding ceremony and Mass were held at the University of Virginia campus chapel.  The reception was held at the Newcomb Ballroom just down the street.

While home schooling has grown steadily in the last twenty years, not all home school programs are the same.  Last weekend, I broke with my wedding bread and butter to photograph a graduation ceremony for the fully accredited Seton Home Study School, based in Front Royal, Virginia.  The ceremony was held on the beautiful campus of Christendom College on the banks of the Shenandoah River and just down the road from the Seton offices.  Seventy-two high school seniors from all over the country traveled to Front Royal for their graduation ceremony, which was fun and full of emotion.

The graduates began by marching across the scenic campus from the chapel to the gymnasium.

I love it when I get to stay in my own town to do a wedding.  Despite the rain, this couple had a beautiful wedding day and a fun-filled reception with their family and friends.  It took place at the Front Royal Moose Lodge and they had the incredible JD Ringer from DJ Connection as the master of ceremonies.
